UK’s Leygo has been dropping some decent tunes for a while now, while an accomplished drummer in a band Leygo went down the road of electronic music production working on various edits and original tunes over the past few years. This mix from him was originally aired on Doctor Hooka’s Surgery Show on NSB Radio last year showcasing his skills as a DJ too.

Mr Bristow definitely brings the Funk for Breakbeat Paradise and their Power Hour Show which is also aired over at iTunes. With a lot of his own new material in the mix plus a selection of jams from the Breakbeat Paradise label.

On the flip Ian ‘Dream Frequency’ Bland and Soul Cat work over the original giving it a tough tribal feel plus plenty of pleasing effects to keep up the oldskool tinged theme.

As far as mashup’s go, this one by Leygo is absolutely first class! He’s taken the phat beats from Cypress Hill‘s ‘Insane In The Brain’ and then added in the brilliant cover version of that song by Prince Fatty feat. Horseman. It’s a track Leygo made for his set at Boomtown Fair a couple of years ago and has just let it go for free and we have no doubts the whole crowd would have been bouncing, just like you’re going to! Grab it while it’s hot!

RocknRolla Soundsystem totally lit up the ward the last time they popped in and we’re very happy that they’re back again. After reading up on them and checking out the music they have to offer, it’s clear that Desert Heart Records are a collective that many music fans can connect with. They started out as an intimate group of friends partying in the Mojave Desert and have now grown significantly to put on several Desert Heart Festivals a year and one off ‘City Hearts’ parties around America, with their main goal being, to help people have the best night of their lives at every party they attend.

As well as running all those parties, Desert Hearts are busy releasing some pretty damn fine House and Techno, a lot of which is free from their Soundcloud page.
