Minnesota based producer, DJ Blue Funk, is a huge admirer of the Italian band, Funkallisto and their Afro Funk approach to music. He digs their sound so much that he decided he needed to put his spin on one of their tunes. He chose Funkallisto’s cover of ‘Pick Up The Pieces’ by, Average White Band, and as he’s a lover of Breakbeat, crisp, fresh and clean broken beats are added to the funky horns that remain from the original. Super groovy stuff I’m sure you’ll agree.

As a memeber of the Australian collective Decades and an avid music hunter, The dL’s time is often filled up with great times. When he takes a break from both of those, he loves nothing more than putting together edits using some of the classic Funk, Soul and Disco tracks he’s discoverd on his searches. Poizon Records, is Estonia’s first ever label that’s dedicated to all things Breaks n Bass related and is the brainchild of Breaks producer, Sunsha. There’s a handful of heavty duty broken beat tracks already posted there from himself, 2 of those being these free downloadable tracks ‘Give Me Da Breakbeat’ and ‘Chop It’. They’re absolutey massive and if this is how the sounds are gonna go down from Poizin Records, it’s definitely a label that needs to be followed so as not to miss out on the good stuff!

There’s nothing like a bit of dark and twisted Techno to fire you up and get the adrenalin coursing through your body. If that’s the kind of sound you use to get yourself going then the Sunderland based producer, Steve Goldsmith, has just the tune for you with his monster ‘Get Back’. This’ll take over your mind, body and soul and if you’re not fully prepared for the onslaught, you may well be left in crumpled, sweaty mess. The force is strong in this one!

It’s a very welcomed return to the ward for, Dayne Harper. He literally lit up the ward the last time he was here with his tune ‘No Place To Go‘ and you know what, he’s back doing exactly the same thing all over again with his very aptly named and new track ‘Back Again’. This gritty and driving chunk of Deep/Tech House will have you fidgeting in your seats and your hearts racing and with the pressure rising, throwing some shapes is the best thing to do to blow off that steam. This one’s epic!
