Here’s a great new release on Swerve Digital, it’s Kiyo with ‘Cicada’ plus remixes from MnCve & Morpei

You might not know but Cicada are a type of bug found on trees. They make a very distinct sound. Pretty sure the artist has utilised those bug noises along with other jungle dwelling sounds and an African chant to make an enthralling slice of techno like the call of the wild itself. If you followed last years LSM advent calendar, you’ll know that we invited along the Breakbeat legends, Drumattic Twins, to brings us the beats to finish off our 25 days in style. For 2016, we thought we’d carry on with the legends theme and invite a couple of guys who I saw absolute smash it at this years Green Meadows Festival, to once again round off what has been another very enjoyable 25 days of music, these guys are, Utah Saints.

Tim and Jez have been there and pretty much done the lot. They’ve had a handful of top 10 releases, played around the world and they’ve supported some of the very biggest artists on the planet. We’re super pleased they accepted our advent invitation and they’ve put together on hell of a party piece that features 12 of their very favourite tracks from 2016. If this mix wasn’t already enough to liven up your Christmas day evening, we can spread further good news and announce that Utah Saints are heading back into the studio in 2017 and are planning on releasing a new batch of floor filling bangers of their own.
