Spanish producer, Parrissior, started out producing House and Techno, but his musical journey has led him into the worlds of Funk and Disco. He’s had releases on labels such as Spa In Disco, Golden Soul Records and Disco Rebel Recordings, which are all well known for releasing prime cuts only and Parissior has plenty of those!

One of those prime cuts of his is this edit posted of Jimmy ‘Bo’ Horne‘s ‘Let Me’, a track that was sampled by Stereo MC’s back in the day for their tune ‘Connected’. Parissior has taken a deep, delicious and low slung approach to his groove heavy edit and it’s one of those tunes that’s just perfect for getting you warmed up and in the mood to party. Get it on and do your thang!

Download ‘Let Me’ here via The Artist Union.

General Midi, or Paul Crossman, who also performed under the name Fluid, came out of the Bristol club scene, making a splash when he became resident DJ at the Shimmy Club in 1994. His mix of breakbeat with nu-skool, electronica, house, and hip-hop made him a popular act.

Emerging from the backrooms of the Bristol Club scene his slick DJ ability and an ear for a great tune gave him regular appearances at breaks hotspots across the planet such as Fabric, Chew The Fat, Blow Pop, Sounds On Sundays (Sydney), Two Tribes (Australia), Zouk (Singapore), Budapest, all across the USA, Hungary, Spain, Serbia, China and Hong Kong. Teaming up with production partner Eelz, General Midi has been responsible for some of the most genre defining tunes in ‘The Westoner’ (’99) ‘Daft Funk’ (’01) ‘Further’ (’03) & ‘You will Be Under’ (’03), ‘Entertainer’ (’04), ‘Bass Rockerz’ (’04) & ‘House of Funk’ (’05).

General Midi’s singles have been released on some of the most respected breaks labels of the time, including TCR (Rennie Pilgrims label) & Kilowatt (Hyper’s label). In 1999 he released his single “The Westerner,” followed two years later by “Daft Funk,” the same year that his first full-length release, Genetically Modified. All of this has led to his debut artist album ‘Midi Style’ which was released on Distinct’ive Records in 2005. In 2009 he released his follow up album ‘Operation Overdrive’.

Paul Crossman also worked with writing partner and audio engineer Al Watson in the duo act called “Starecase”.

Currently Paul Crossman works as as a Teacher of Computing at Lampton School, London UK.

BSD or Bass-Star-Dos are/where? a producer duo from France. Starting off making Hip-Hop & Trip Hop in 1998 the duo flourished which led them to producing Breaks & House music. In 2008, the BSD project was consolidated, and after playing several times on various radio shows, they signed for iBreaks Records label. At the same time they won the remix contest by Rennie Pilgrem and his label, Thursday Club Recordings.

In 2010 they shot to fame winning the Best Breakthrough Producer at the UK’s Breakspoll Awards. BSD established their own label in late 2010, Mental Machine Muzik, where they released a debut album entitled “Malditos BASS-STAR-DOS!

We think you’ll agree it’s a ‘Privilege’ to be able to listen to Oskar Smaal’s new release on FXtion Records

‘Privilege’ bounces along nicely with a tempered balance between the piano stabs and perfectly weighted drums. Talking about drums, no one does them quite like Lee Pearce who delivers yet another stand out remix right here. Freckle goes for a more traditional chugger of a House remix with a lovely bleepy breakdown. And for a great finish to this top release, ‘CO2′ also takes the pure House route and does it with the flair of the scene’s brightest and best. Quality assured!!!
