RatPack & Wideboys – Hands Of Time

Evil Nine are an English DJ/Producer duo comprising of members Tom Beaufoy and Patrick Pardy. Gaining recognition after signing to Adam Freeland’s label Marine Parade in the early 2000’s their unique sound gathered a high following and had a very influential effect in the early Nuskool Breaks scene.

This mix is from 2005 and a showcase of their sound at that time.

Tigerlight is a lady who has many fine tuned strings to her bow. As well as being a singer, producer, DJ, radio show host and composer, she has decided to add another string and start up her own label, Tigerlight Musik. You can often find Tigerlight adding her sublime vocal to the bass heavy grooves she produces and her DJ skills have seen her play across Europe and the USA as well as festivals such as Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Glade Festival and Boomtown Fair.

With Tigerlight’s new label now up and running, there’s going to be some rather tasty music coming our way and to kick things off in style, she has just released her breathtaking new tune ‘Tongue Tied‘. It’s one of those tracks that grabs your attention instantly and with every passing second, you find yourself becoming more and more lost in the music. The deep bass rumbles, beautifully textured production work and Tigerlight’s stunning vocal all add up to a piece of music that you’ll just keep hitting the play button on time and time again.

The top music doesn’t stop there as there 3 remixes backing up Tigerlight’s new track. They come from Rain City Riot, who has worked the original into a heavy hitting Jackin’ House floor filler. Captain of the Slamboree crew, Mike Freear, has conjured up a Breaks remix that ramps up the intensity and delivers the filth factor! Tracy Rhodes cools the feverish pace of the other two remixes by taking things down, deep down with her lush, percussive Disco tinged House remix. Rounding up all of this amazing music is Tigerlight’s Vocal VIP mix of her tune and just in case you needed to her more of her singing with a little bit more filth on board, you’ll find that all right there. We’re huge fans of James Rod here at LSM and when he keeps releasing funked out Disco rockers like we’ve got here for you, it’s clear to see why we’re loving his work so much. His rework of Breakwater‘s ‘Release The Beast’ is fueled by the groove and it’s packin’ plenty of that, along with a mind bending cosmic feel and Acid influences. At the time of writing this we believe Brighton based, Sandor, to be just 20 years of age. He started out DJing just over a year ago and has already supported the likes of Amine Edge & Dance, DJ S.K.T, Benga and Joris Voorn, as well as holding down a couple of residency’s at one of Brighton’s newest hot-spots, Mono, and one at the prestigious, Coalition. With an already healthy looking CV, Sandor has turned his hand to production, which has turned out to be a very wise choice as you’ll here from the two heavyweight and pumpin’ Tech House weapons posted here. It’s clear that this with age on his side, the future is bright, the future is Sandor!
