It’s been a while since we’ve heard from our blogging brother, Johnny Pluse. He’s been super busy with his label, Bulabeats and with his band, The Storm Troopers Of Love, who he has been working with to put the finishing touches to their new album ‘Ape Panic’, which is due to be released very soon.

As fairly hefty warm up to the release of ‘Ape Panic’, they have enlisted the superb remixing skills of, Leygo, to put his spin on the lead track off the album ‘Blast & Bounce’. Now, JPSTOL, have built up quite a reputation as being one of the most explosive Ska, Funk, Hip-Hop and Dub bands on the circuit and Leygo has captured that perfectly in his remix but to add even more energy, he’s given it a Jungle twist. It now has the feel of a track that’ll suck you into the middle of the dance floor without you even realizing and have you bouncin’ and skankin’ with all the smiling faces around you!

Oh yes, it’s time for another Midtempo Breaks mashup monster, with this coming from Bristol based, X-Ray Ted. He’s pieced together ACDC‘s ‘Back In Black’ and ‘Here Comes The Hotstepper’ by Ini Kamoze in spectacular fashion! This is gonna people singing along, rockin’ out and bouncing around everywhere this summer, no doubt about it!

Fort Knox Five are back at the helm of their ‘Funk The World‘ mix series, after letting Lack Jemmon and Trotter take over the previous two and it’s back to business as usual. The mix begin with smooth funky vibes but soon peps up with some equally funky chunky Midtempo Breaks. A touch of Vintage Swing and Disco is also added, just in case things wasn’t already funky enough for us. First class stuff as always from these guys and they’ve dropped it just in time so we can all enjoy it on a Sunday afternoon. Now that’s what you call good timing!
