In:flux Audio dropped ‘Bring The Fiya’ by WheresNorth?, plus 3 remixes by label regulars, Tik&Borrow, Sekt – 87 and label newcomer, Saboteur UK, back in the middle of the festival season and as we’re a little late sending all this music your way, the 4 free tracks that you can get your hands on can now be used to bring the heat as the outdoor temperature decreases.

WheresNorth? is well known for packing in a hefty amount of bass into his Breakbeat tunes and ‘Bring The Fiya’ has enough to take out walls! As well as that beast, Tik&Borrow drop a filthy UK Funky remix, Sekt – 87 cranks up the tempo with feisty Speed Garage interpretation and Saboteur UK takes the tempo through the roof with his impressive Drum n Bass take on the original. Heavy tunes aplenty here and if that’s you’re cup of tea, get downloading them all using the links below.

Drum n Bass with a healthy dose of vintage Swing is what lights the fires in the minds of Phil Mac and Fizzy Gillespie. Both of these guys are doing their utmost to spread the joy of the Swing n Bass sound and it’s fair to say they’re doing a damn good job at it. Both of them produce music in their own right and both know how to assemble a tune that brings feet to the floor and smiles to faces. With this latest tune though, they’ve joined forces and their remix of ‘What’d I Say’ by the legendary, Ray Charles, is an extremely classy jam. Bags of energy and positivity, which is something we can all do with at some point or another, so to have it close to hand at all times, make this beauty yours!

At the rate of knots 2017 is going at, Halloween will soon be upon us and as they’ll be plenty of parties going on, you’re going to be needing some spooktacular music to keep them bouncing and that’s something the Liberty Chaps can help you out with.

These 3 Yorkshire lads have found themselves on the ward before with their phat, bass heavy and party igniting Ghetto Funk/Funky Breaks sound and for this visit, they return with that flavour, which they’ve added into their remix of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ and to top it off, they’ve let us bring it to you as an LSM exclusive! This monster tune is all yours for free, so go get it!

Horizon Recordings continues to deliver amazing electronic music in a variety of sub-genres. This time, it’s deep melodic Bass music from Greencyde with ‘Sun Shines Through’ Greencyde provides the back to mine soundtrack with the melancholic and painfully beautiful beats and soaring drops of ‘Dark Water’

The bluesy aquatic Future Garage continues with ‘Never’ leaving mention for the title track itself featuring blissful vocals from Ashley Rose and deep extended drops of dubby warmth. Pop this on your speakers, close your eyes and drift away!

https://ruffguidance.bandcamp.com/album/indigo-virus-emotional-stasis-ep

Indigo Virus delves into deeper strands of Jungle with the ‘Emotional Stasis EP’ on Ruff Guidance We’ve heard and loved Indigo Virus’ ‘Flashback’ tunes since first hearing them back in 2014 on DJ Vapour’s 36 Hertz imprint. The ‘Emotional Stasis EP’ heralds a change in style from the 92/93 breakbeat hardcore/jungle tekno style bangers. Here, Indigo Virus crafts a sound that fits perfectly into the Ruff Guidance blueprint of deep, paced and mood enhancing intelligent jungle. Tracks like ‘Phobos’ build the layered breaks around swirls of mystifying keys and subtle riffs. The attention to detail and solid structure of previous work is here transferred to a rich soundscape more akin to 94/95. A well-deserved addition to Bay B Kane’s Ruff Guidance label and a worthy one.

Here with another introduction as to just how funky his bones are is our Dutch friend, Ronny Hammond. For this visit he’s giving away his slick Funky Breaks mashup of ‘God Made Me Phunky’ by, MD Express feat. Mike Dunn and Funk Inc’s ‘Bowlegs’ and the outcome is a tune that’s cooler than a polar bear’s larder. Expectations are always high when new music from Ronny arrives and those expectations are met with complete ease every single time. God definitely made him phunky!

We’re bringing you music all the way from Argentina in this post and joining us here within the walls of the LSM HQ for the first time is Phunktastike. He is widely regarded as the first Argentinian producer to experiment with the Nu-Disco sound and it has proved to have been a very good choice to do so. Phunktastike has had many of his tracks released on many top Disco labels and he can be found regularly spinning tunes in the clubs of Buenos Aires. Back in 2009 he founded his own label, Spirit Soul Music, which has itself gone to have several top 100 releases on Beatport’s Indie Dance/Nu-Disco charts.

The best introduction to any new artist here on the ward is of course their music and Phunktastike’s extremely funky edit of Instant Funk’s 80’s jam ‘(Just Becasue) You’ll Be Mine’ is the one that has been chosen to get your attention and you wanting to hear more from this top producer. There’s plenty to find to, so make this tasty edit yours and then go find some more.

For the third year running I headed to Stockport (UK) on our August bank holiday to the awesome, Moovin Festival. This cracking little festival is one that I highly recommend and to find out more about it, you can read a review I did of it in 2015 when you *Click Here*.

Before you do that though, get this mix from Steve Thorpe downloaded so as your reading is accompanied by a damn fine soundtrack. Steve closed the Boombox stage on Sunday night and as I’ve seen him DJ several times now, I knew something special was gonna go down and so did a lot of other people judging by how many turned up to see him play. With the tent over flowing with people who wanted to end the weekend on a real high, Steve stepped up and delivered a blinding set that was heavy with Breaks and a touch of Acid House and Techno to boot. All of us left wanting more but as is the way with life, all good things must come to an end, so we all wandered off back to our tents with big smiles on our faces safe in the knowledge we’d ended an amazing weekend the right way by dancing our socks off!

Stanton Warriors ‘Colima’ has already been getting it’s fair share of air time, appearing on radio shows and featuring heavily in there sets where it has set dance floors on fire! ‘Colima’ bangs hard and the energy it gives off is of the highly addictive variety. The sweet lick of horns that find their way into the intro and pop up later on, are an excellent addition and they definitely give it that extra spark. Quality assured music from the Stantons as standard!
