The DJ Producer is known as a bona fide legend in Hardcore Techno circles. A true veteran from the very birth of rave music.

His track ‘Urban Decay’ is a foray into exceptional DnB production, a break from his renowned Hardcore & Industrial techno slammers. That being said, if you’ve heard those D.A.R.K Hardcore thumpers, you will hear that unmistakable DJ Producer sound in this rip roaring track.

This isn’t The DJ Producer’s first venture into DnB production,in fact, going all the way back to the mid 90’s you find DnB b sides tucked away among his releases.

Joining this release on remix duties is X E Dos who produced collabs with DJ producer DnB style in the early 00’s Techstep era. SR of 36Hertz Recordings fame also gets involved leaving his raw jungle mark on ‘Urban Decay’

Keep an eye on Dayne Harper ladies and gents, because this is a producer who has a sound that’s gonna get him along way. This is something he has already achieved in many ways as he started out DJing at the age of 14 whilst living in Zimbabwe, where he was born. Having been brought up on 90s Dance music, Kwaito, Reggae, Hip Hop and CD’s bought back from the UK by his older brother, he somehow managed to convince a club owner in the town he was from to let him have a slot at the club and after he said yes, Dayne played there every Thursday, spinning African and Western Dance music.

After a while the club shut down which left Dayne in the lurch, so he decided to pack his bags and head for the UK and eventually settled in London. As word got around of his skills as a DJ and producer, pirate radio stations were soon on his case as were labels like Sony and Vicious Black. His intoxicating Tech House and Techno sounds has seen him play a whole host of top clubs in London where he’s supported many top names in those scenes. Once you get stuck into his music, in particular this free tune posted, a hugely atmospheric Tech House slammer that has a very neatly used sample of Dawn Penn sewn within, you’ll soon see what all the fuss is about. Get following Dayne Harper folks, he’s on the rise!

Dropping in hard is this remix of ‘Brok Out’ by, Nomad feat. Lotek, from Joe Revell. This feisty and super heavy chunk of Midtempo Breaks is a track Joe has held back from releasing, but as he recently passed 3,000 followers on Soundcloud, he figured the time is right for us all to own it and has decided to give it away for free. Friends of the blog, Shaka Loves You, are laying down slick Disco grooves to there remix of ‘Don’t Touch That Stereo’ by, Mark Rae. Mark has a new album/book project due out very soon and is getting a few of his favourite artists to remix tracks off it. He knows all about SLY’s ability to create music that has those with funky bones pack the dance floors so for him to choose them to kick off the remixes was a no-brainer. Swiss producer and fellow blogger, GoodGroove, lets the Funk fly in this super extended, Disco inspired edit of ‘We The People’ by, Mani Fredo feat. The Soul Searchers. The groove is very good in this one, as is the tempo. It’ll have you stepping out with real purpose with the horns, flute, wah-wah guitar and soulful vocal all lifting you higher and higher. Snapped up by trend setters ‘Watch the Hype‘, Italy’s ‘wrng pattern’ (Crz Zrc) is one to watch! ‘BB Mixxx’ is a rolling, hazy atmospheric, lo-fi track with analogue vibes featuring lovely spacious pads and vocal samples. Combined with a rolling beat it makes it fit for home listening as well as club play. Preferring to use sounds produced on machines instead of using programmes such as Ableton or Reason, ‘wrng pattern’ is the name he uses for tunes that have been recorded live and afterwards edited. Most of his work is created patterns and simply choosing the right one!

Sonic brilliance from Koven. They make their debut on the Monstercat imprint with new single ‘Silence‘.

Resonant Status is such a top dude, that he’s gone and made this banging Breakbeat track ‘The White Wedding’ for his wife as they celebrate two years of marital bliss together. The track uses a chopped and very well placed sample from Billy Idol‘s classic ‘White Wedding’, along with tribal-esque sounding broken beats that have an air of old skool Evil Nine about them, which is never a bad thing at all!
