The San Francisco based label, Lazer Native, are totally buzzing to be the ones dropping this two track EP ‘Mmm Hungry’ from a producer who just happens to live in the same neck of the woods as them, Lenny Kiser.

Starting off in the realms of Deep House and Nu-Disco, Lenny has gradually built a tougher sound as he’s gone on, through Tech House and now with this EP, Bass House. The title track off the EP ‘Mmm Hungry’ is pure filth! Quite simply put I know, but it is. Not even the most hardcore of bass faces can withstand the force of this monster. The second of the free tracks ‘8008’ controls the fire being created from the first track perfectly. It’s by no means a softy but it definitely cools the airwaves with a smoother flow and hypnotic vocal hook. Lenny Kiser is meaning business with these two tracks and we’ll keep you posted on any further moves that both him and Laser Native make in the future.

Hold tight because Wiccatron is dropping by with a free 3 track EP of substantial proportions! ‘Free Slurp’ is the EP that contains a collection of tracks that Wiccatron has put his own meaty spin on. The first track sees him bring a touch of filth and extra fatness to the Funky Breaks and Blues jam ‘Constant Soggy Bottom’ by, Mr Rich and the Caretaker. The second track is an almighty mashup of The Chemical Brothers, The Killers and Eric B & Rakim, that’s so heavy it’ll need a forklift ride to you decks! The final track is one you’ll possibly remember from a while back which is another huge mashup, this time featuring The Prodigy, Ian Brown and Utah Saints. All killer, no filler from this EP!

DJ Inko has kindly been dropping a few free downloads for us all of late and now it’s time to dip into your pockets and purchase his very awesome ‘Downtown Funk’ EP that’s recently been released by, Timewarp Music. The Liberty Chaps are three dudes from Halifax (UK), who are just starting out on their mission to fill our ears with some of the finest Ghetto Funk, Soul, Breaks, Hip Hop and Reggae in the land and beyond. They’re kicking off their musical quest in impressive fashion with this bass fueled Ghetto Funk remix of ‘Occapella’ by, Lee Dorsey, which has caught the attention of several of the main players from that scene and once you check it, you’ll soon understand why. Here is a little of what to expect from London’s underground night ‘Bank of Switches‘. Specialising  in the finest house and techno, they have been filling venues all over East London with for over two years with knowledgeable, excitable & hedonistic ravers of all ages dancing until the early hours….just as it should be.

Whilst we always like to bring you established artists here on the ward, we are always on the look out for unknown and relatively unheard of artists too. The French production duo, Nip Flip, fall very much into the latter of that last sentence but we’re very sure that once there music starts getting heard, the sky’s the limit for them both, especially if you take their latest free 3 track EP as an example. Themselves and there music is strictly House based but on there ‘Quartier Ste. Anne’ EP, you’ll find three different flavours and atmospheres to each track that’ll leave you with thoughts of ‘let me hear more’. Get these guys followed and watch them rise through the ranks.

Despite Skapes recent visit to the ward, there’s no way we could not bring you his brand spanking and damn fine bootleg of Cypress Hill‘s ‘I Ain’t Going Out Like That’. It’s got Skapes trademark energy running right through it and with the neatly used vocals and the familiar bassline from the original on show, this one’s gonna cut up some rugs for sure! Great work.
