Riding home from the Shambhala Music Festival a few years ago, @root-sellers came up with the concept for this track - calling upon the audience to put in their earplugs so we can all keep hearing the music.

When we got home, we recorded the track and debuted it at the opening of Shambhala 2012. It's been a staple in my set ever since and will probably continue to get dropped for years to come.

Big shouts to @dj-captain-planet for letting us take his original beat and shift it into the piece you hear now.

Back the Music of Life Kickstarter.com Project to restore the tape archive to Digital and remix the classics, remaster the catalogue and reissue some lost classics and unreleased Classics.

Music of Life is an iconic and widely respected UK Ragga Hip Hop label of international repute and probably the most successful UK Hip Hop label ever.

Classic Artists such as Derek B, Hijack, Hardnoise, Demon Boyz, MC Duke, Daddy Freddy, Asher D, First Frontal Assault, Killa Instinct, Son of Noise and many others graced the label.

3 Knights "Burial Proceedings In The Course Of 3 Knihgts" is an up tempo (121BPM) Hip Hop production by HIJACK, remixed for 2013 by a host of UK Hip Hop producers from back then and right now.

On August 11th 1973 the father of Hip Hop DJ Kool Herc threw a party that was to help spawn a Worldwide movement. In 2013 Hip Hop turns 40!

To honour this DJ Woody launches his new audio-visual DJ show as an ode to the music and culture that changed his and so many others' lives over the last 4 decades. 'Hip Hop is 40' chronicles and celebrates all things Hip Hop. Starting with the original breaks, the first rap records and through to party rockers spanning the 80's up until today.

Building on his groundbreaking AV shows 'Turntables In Technicolor' and 'Big Phat 90's' and utilising his trademark edits, animations, graphics and World champion turntablist skills.

'Hip Hop is 40' is DJ Woodys' most ambitious show to date!
