DJ Lowsteppa has been bubbling under for a while and has made huge waves in the club scene this year. This free download sums up the fuss perfectly. No nonsense party bass and nasty rave organs straddle the fence of commercial and filth like a funky otter on a tightrope over Niagara falls. The ever humble Lowstepps reckons “its good enough for a spin”, we reckon it’s worth a rewind.

Ready, set, groove! The Bulgarian (he’s from Bulgaria don’t you know) has released a rare treasure from 2009 that was featured on a very limited compilation featuring Bulgaria’s finest producers and artists such as KiNK and Balkansky. This is a fine piece of solid, jackin, house to shake it like a earthquake!

To be honest I´m not a big fan of the new album of Aloe Blacc. I´m missing the sound of real played guitars and drums and real funky feeling. The catchy “Love is the answer” is the one for me on the album and so I did this edit in a slow housy style.

“Hotel California” is one of my alltime-favoruites. Not funky but with this special feeling and melody. Never thought it would be good to remix it. Tom Drummond wanted the challenge and actually he did a good job. Surely this is not better than the original version. But good for DJ-sets anyway.
