Based in Poland and run by Hardcore Breaks/NuSkool legend, Nefti, Intensive Records has been putting out some of the finest rave influenced tracks of late and this latest and 2nd compilation is a great big package of awesomeness!!!!

Nefti himself weighs in with one of his piano anthems like only he does!!! The piano is epic and the dials are at warp ten for a turbo fuelled rave monster with a nice driving 4×4 beat intersped with breaks

Other highlights include MindTransit’s ‘Waves Of Euphoria’ which really does take us back to 92 albeit the more experimental Jungle Tekno sound of that year, with a bassline reminiscent of The Psycopaths ‘Roots And Culture’ and also with a feel of Caspar Pound’s Rising High imprint sound, old skool heads like yours truly will love this

Perhaps our favourite track on here is Rafau Etamski’s ‘Primordial Necessity’ a slice of piano bliss, all loved up and with that timeless rave sound, with the likes of Chase & Status getting in on the classic rave act, it seems only fair that this track should be lodged firmly in the U.K top 40

Other featured artists include Damage Inc, Rave Force, Oneplayz, Neurygma & other hot talents of the Rave/Hardcore Breaks/140 scene and this fantastic compilation is proof that rave is alive, kicking and sounding as great as it always did!!!!!

Our good friends at Elektroshok Records revisit this once very popular track and serve it back up as a freebie. Destroyers, Aggresives and Shade K collab on what turns out to be quite the stormer, bringing spicy drum work, saucy tearout style synths and delightful 90′s style piano work. There’s some clever sampling going on in there too. If you listen closely, you can hear some Party Alarm and jungle sounds mixed in there to add some more liveliness. Great job from the Spaniards on this one.

The Beatslappaz latest release on their label Rump Shaker Records has them fusing their booty break stylings with an extra-large helping of flat out funkiness as they combine some classic horn samples with a down and dirty bassline, sizzling lead synth and some serious 808 stomp that’s sure to have clubs a rockin. D-Funk keeps the funk flowing with his remix, bringing a more mid-tempo ghetto funk vibe that is a 117bpm head nodding party joint. Yet another super solid club friendly release from the Beatslappaz boys.

Illeven:Eleven Recordings’ label boss Keith MacKenzie's contributions to the breakbeat scene cannot be overstated. After honing his skills as a DJ in the 90's Florida scene alongside luminaries like DJ Icey, DJ Fixx and Infiniti, Keith's move into the label game sought to combine his various influences under one roof. Although the primary focus has been bass-driven breaks music, the label built a reputation for releasing quality collaborations from artists working across electronic genres, quickly making it a Beatport favorite.

Besides his own productions with DJ Fixx (as KMFX), the ever-growing list of releases have included music from producers like Calvertron, Deekline & Ed Solo, Hatiras, Bass Kleph and Gigi Barocco, as well as frequent vocal contributions by the likes of Sporty-O, Sue Cho and Whiskey Pete. In addition to gigging extensively in North America, the last few years have seen Keith's profile boosted to international breakbeat fame. Over the last year alone, Keith has smashed dancefloors in Spain, Russia, Rome, and London, constantly pushing his potent formula of party-rocking breaks to new heights.

Over the past 15 years, breakbeat pioneer DJ Fixx has been stocking the shelves of record stores everywhere. Said by many as one of the most innovative and consistent producers in the industry, he continues to deliver some of the most sought after breakbeat tracks available. To be honest we all like a bit of music with funk. DJ Kimbles "Park The Funk" show for the Ramp Shows Blog has been an inspiration for me when making funk edits. I've got a few ideas after listening through some of the mixes and reading through the tracklists. This is his last show for the year.

"I'm sure most of you will agree the last year has been yet another banging year for music ! The amount of talented people I've come across lately , who constantly give away the dopest music , is pretty much the reason for these RAMP shows .... so firstly I'd like to thank ALL the musicians / producers for all their generosity ! "This year's Ghost ship was nuts! It was great to see the party go off so massively in the new space, and I honestly have never seen a crazier, bigger crowd in front of the MOG. People were definitely up for all kinds of music, as long as it inspired them to dance, so it was hard to go wrong. I was feeling a little nostalgic, about all the amazing times I've had at this party over the years, so I mixed up my newer house and breaks with a lot of what I consider classics.
