This week's RIPEcast features Space Cowboy's one and only ShOOey who not only served up a rockin' set in one of our outdoor tents, but also helped serve up some much needed support for Food Bank SF as well.

ShOOey says:

"2013 was a year of big changes for me but one thing has not changed... Breakfast of Champions is *still* favorite party of the year! As always, it's a privilege to play such an amazing event and I was soaking in the love from my friends onstage and out on the dancefloor. After my set, I was so warmly greeted by smiles, hugs and kind words from new and old friends and I can't think of a better way to start the new year.

I'd like to thank the rock star volunteers who helped collect food and money for the San Francisco Food Bank. I spent a few hours at the food bank table and was in awe of the generosity of our community and attendees. A *HUGE* thank you to every single one of you that donated. We collected 450 pounds of food and over $9,500 in cash and online donations. The Space Cowboys matched every dollar for a grand total of a little over $19,000. We certainly helped provide a meal of champions for those in need!!!"

It’s kinda great when someone new catches our ear. This track from New York based, Canadian ex-pat, KIESZA does just that. There’s a tinge of a 90s vibe in this house tune and despite its overt pop sensibilities, I think I’m going to play this a lot. The video below was shot in one take too. Outstanding.
