Out Now on Beatport : http://www.beatport.com/release/shock-out/1328003

The original of 'Shock Out' is a Basshead's dream match up. Lady Waks and Marten Horger! Both legends in their own right, but when they come together, the real magic happens. It's not often the first Lady of breaks drops a track, but when she does, it's a BANGER! At the other end of the spectrum, we have Marten Horger, who is possibly the most prolific man in breakbeat at this moment in time. Both Marten and Waks scooped more trophies at this year's Breakspoll Awards than you could fit on the mantelpiece.

Deep 808 bass, hip hop licks and space age vibes are the themes on 'Shock Out'. Think Miami bass in space.

The package comes with 3 remixes.

Mutantbreakz & Kuplay Ft. Pure Sx on the first one, bring the Spanish sunshine and London grime. Then we have breakbeat's prodigal son, Mafia Kiss doing his usual classy re-rub for the party people. Then last but not least we have noise house specialist's 'Finish Him!' shocking out the 'SHOCK OUT' and injecting a little grangey vibes.

All in all, another top package from IBWT and some of breakbeats leading lights.

Back in February when we posted KIESZA‘s runaway chart topper, “Hideaway,” we had no idea the Canadian ex-pat would have skyrocketed to stardom like she did. Well, it happened and we’re not sorry. The tune is phenomenal and she deserves the credit.

Her latest single, “Giant In My Heart” is yet another 90s-tipped house tune. Kiesza’s vocals sit restlessly on round kicks. The matted cowbells, synth stabs, shakers, and hand claps lift the cut like her suspenders do to her acid wash jeans. Here’s a tune equally at home on the dancefloor as it is playing loudly in a convertible. Watch for it on Lokal Legend

Having already inspired widespread acclaim, JASON BURNS‘ carefully concocted fusion of garage, house and bass music, shrouded in soulful R&B melodies, has won him support from a host of names and an appearance on XLR8R’s Best of 2013 list.

For his latest release he works more of his bassy house magic for Love & Other on the sensational “Do Without,” where he wraps a garage shuffle in ethereal sweeps and a resonating low end.

Following the lead track, “Hold On” reminds us of Jason’s instinct to produce bass fuelled dancefloor dubs. Here’s a cut for those who like deep, rich, bassy house music, served with a pinch of melancholy.

The EP also includes two remixes of “Do Without” – a sinister rework by BECKWITH who very well darkens the midnight hours to a deeper shade of black.

THE DEALER heads in the opposite direction with a disco-tinged take. Here’s a party jam to get anyone lounging onto their feet, any time of day.

Watch for the package to drop on Beatport on June 30.

TINUSH and WOLFGANG LOHR have teamed up to deliver a brand new single for Soundplate Records. The roots of the track are formed on the foundation of house music. The track is playful, layered with a few querky squeaks, a simple vocal, and of course a driving 4/4. The track even features a very subtle jazzy swing, which is all nicely juxtaposed with a bouncing bassline with some garage feels. Regardless of the debate surrounding the definition of deep house (and whether or not you believe the bassy house movement adheres to the tradition of the genre), here’s a track with cavernous sonics. In short, this track is quite lovely and will undoubtedly get feet moving.

Fatboy Slim’s golden boy, Sonny Wharton’s huge tech house re-work will no doubt be helping it find its way into even more top club DJ’s playlists this Summer.

Watch for the Beatport release on June 26 and all other digital retailers July 11.

Signed to Sleazy G, We$t Coa$t EP is the the first EP (after a handful of singles and free downloads) from the collaborative efforts between THE BEATANGERS and BOOGIE VICE. The EP runs three tracks deep, including VANILLA ACE‘s g-funk remix and is available on Beatport.

“We$t Coa$t” pinches a vocal sample from a classic Coolio cut, pitching them down in that g-house swagger. Filtered builds and thundering kick make this a party tune like no other.

“Jump Like This” comes next, with even more bassline thunder offset with a subtle Arabian flair for another sweltering g-house anthem.

Lastly, VANILLA ACE blasts a million rays of sunshine into his g-funk twist of “We$t Coa$t.” If the two originals on the EP are meant for the club, then this remix rests perfectly poolside or on a lush beach.

Here’s some rather lovely bubbling house music on the garage tip from STE E, released by the indomitable, Domino Effect Records. The Leeds-based producer tapped the sultry vocal talents of ERIKA BURTONWOOD for the a-side, which hits all the marks: rich bassline, key stabs, and of course some sexy vocals.

The single gets some proper remix treatment too. Label founders S. JAY & OSTERTAG (Sam Jay and Nick Ostertag) rub out the polish of the original, pitching the vocals down while simultaneously pounding the kicks subtly deeper.

ANIMIST rolls out the garage vibes with a grinding bassline in his remix…

…While Kane KANE TOWNY buffs the sheen for what could be the club anthem of the summer.

The aptly titled the Invade EP gets rounded out with another pair of originals from Ste E. “Feed You” is another garage stomper and the re-release of “Flirtin’” goes deep in all the right places, paired nicely with more key stabs and a minimal vocal sample.

The EP is available on Beatport.

Cardiff based producer, Marcus Jakes, comes correct with another outstanding (dare we say deep) house release on the always on point Jalapeno Records.

‘This Much’ follows his debut EP for the label which found favour with DJ’s as diverse as Kissy Sell Out, N Type, Huxley and Kraak & Smaak and this will further showcase his flair and skill as one to watch in the house music scene.

Add to the package a bass heavy, breakbeat- jungle remix from SPX and you have an essential release which should find its way into a diverse and wide range of dj sets. I for one have been hammering the SPX remix!

We have the Premiere of the free download of ‘Reasons’ by Jakes which is another boompty slice of 4×4 goodness to go along with the release. Just try not to bounce to this!

Grab Marcus Jakes ‘This Much’ when its released on the 14th July. Pre-order HERE
