The Shindig Weekender for 2017 was recently held on Gilcombe Farm in Somerset, UK. A gathering of party people of all ages, shapes and sizes in a glorious mashup of a 3 day gig with a a house party, a circus show, a series of curious craft workshops, a wellbeing retreat and a kid’s party. With no main stages just a setup of marquees delivering the best artists in Dance music.

A few of this years LIVE sets have started appearing on Soundcloud, below are just a few I’ve found. I’m sure there will be more to come.

Who is DJ Peaceful ? This mysterious character has a huge following on Soundcloud and puts up a new broken beat mix basically every 2 months. But alas the DJ mixes are never available as a direct FREE download but i’m sure with all the Soundcloud downloader websites you can fix that

My senses we’re awoken when I stumbled across his free 2 track ‘Fluid‘ EP and after I’d experienced those, I had to go hunting for more and I’m very pleased I did! The 2 tracks found on the new EP a both super crisp rollers and the basslines are very addictive indeed. It’s been absolutely ages since we’ve brought you a throwback Thursday tune and what a tune we have for you this time around! It comes in the form of a delicious Disco tinged House rework of Fun Lovin’ Criminals ‘Love Unlimited‘ from Dutch producer, René van der Weijde aka, TFX. René is no stranger to creating big tunes as you’re going to hear, but as well making this one and a large number of other classy tracks that can be found on his Soundcloud page, he was one half of the duo that made up, Atlantic Ocean, that brought us the unforgettable ‘Waterfall‘.
