Guildford’s multi genre, electronic music, bad men are back with a tasty mash for your ear drums. What’s this? Another hot stepper mash? No thanks mate, that’s getting as old as the Jurassic 5 ones….Unless it’s laid on a bed of rich, tasty, swing goodness served up from Captain Flatcap. Nicely played chaps….

Any one with an interest in Dj’ing must watch this. Cue two French turntable bad men, some joke camaraderie on the log catcher and the classic Rob Base and EZ Rock “It takes two sample”. Tight is not the word.

Australia is a country flourishing with talented musicians, DJ’s and producers and my home state of Queensland is particularly blessed with an abundance of gifted performers. In an area with such a saturation of talent it can sometimes be hard to stand out but Sunshine Coast native Jesswah is doing everything right to cement himself a position as a true leader of the pack.

From producing gritty glitched out goodness to rocking festivals and sold out shows, both on his own and with his AV/ DJ duo Dead Pixel (who just happen to be supporting the Funk Hunters this Saturday at Byron Bays Iconic Beach Hotel) he is definitely someone to keep your eyes and more importantly your ears on. He has just let loose volume 2 of his Chilled Sesh mixtapes series and it is a sublime 30 minutes of laidback beats and glitch tinged grooves that is well worth kicking back and blazing up to.

1. Jaytee – Knock & Run
2. B.Visible – Disney
3. Grillz – Flesh
4. Jailo & AObeats – Fallin’
5. Chrisfader – Fader
6. Persian Empire – Jugo
7. Plutonic Lab – Rumour
8. Roleo – All Day Sunshine
9. B.Visible – Catch
10. Jesswah – Bouncing Blue
11. Damn Moroda – 1st Cut
12. Persian Empire – To Na Bi

Stumbled across this gem on my Souncloud travels and though it only right to share it with you all. This mix contains 12″ records that are at least a decade old… Lack Jemmon are self confessed “old-school monsters of the night-business” They’ve been smashing the decks as local Budapest DJ’s for 18 years now.

Lucky for us they decided to dust off their old vinyl and give us a gift for the new year…

This is how they saw the beginning of an era called funky-breaks – The’ve chosen 12″ records that were solely released before 2005… So, no cue-points, no warping, no loops… This time, it’s just pure analog mayhem!!!

Got to know where your from to know where your at! Take it away chaps….

Undoubtedly the best release to date on Lifestyle Recordings, Jazzatron’s ‘La Quarta Una’ EP takes things to the next level of excellence. The title track is amazing, simply amazing, a warm summery laid back anthem of a track that will stay inside your head insistently, the remainder of the EP is further brilliance and displays diversity in sound from light jazzy sounds to darker techy ones, all consistently good, you simply have to go out and get this
