Welsh dj / producer, Flapsandwhich, took to reimxing duties 4 years ago to create this pretty damn huge Breaks re-rub of, Leftfield’s ‘ Phat Planet ‘. With beats tighter than a tank doing a 360 and the vibe of the original adding to the epicness, your ears may well need to go on a diet after gorging on the sounds from this. A cracking dance floor weapon!

Things are really hotting up for the Manchester club night Lowdown & Dirty. Snapping up awards for consistently attracting the cream of the crop of class underground artists to the turntables of, Sound Control. The guys have also started up a mix series which sees them lay down a selection of music that includes some current tracks that are tearing up the dance floor and interestingly, tracks that are personal favourites of theirs. Nick Howard kicks things off with an incredible 85 minute which seems him drift in and out of Techno, Breaks and other Bass filled goodies. An essential listen!

The Lowdown guys already have in place some cracking artists to visit Sound Control this year with Mumbai Science,  Hybrid, Alex Metric, Riton and Dave Clarke already confirmed. Follow them on the links below to keep up with all things Lowndown & Dirty.

Here’s yet another amazingMambo & Motown remix from the hands of JPOD. Just in time for that special day of cheap 24 hour garage flowers, Prosecco and dry humping….

“One of the most moving tunes from Mambo & Motown, this gem always gives me swoony goosebumps. Smokey’s voice is arguably the smoothest sound you’ve ever heard and is perfect for valentines week. Put this on and hug a loved one!”
