Just when you thought you’d received all of your presents, we’ve got another very special exclusive one just for you for, Advent Day #25. It comes from a couple of Breakbeat legends, Nick Slater and Kevin Lancaster, otherwise known as the, Drumattic Twins! Although the guys have been absolutely flat out gigging as two thirds of, Shades Of Rhythm, with their very good friend, Rayan Gee this past year, they’ve still managed to find time to put together this outstanding two hour mix of Breakbeat that has a pure, Drumattics feel stamped all over it! The marriage of the old and new comes together in perfect harmony here with modern techniques put to use on bringing an altogether ‘old skool’ vibe. There’s not too many, Drumattics mixes kicking around these days, so we hope you’re just as excited as we are to bring you this brand spanking new mix from them. Whatever your plans are today, just have a great one!

Download the mix here via the, LSM Hearthis page.

“Refused” is the recently released title track off DJ PHANTASY DEXTONE collaboration and delivers a neatly packed, flood of audio stimulation. It’s pretty easy to tell when the drop matches with the build before it, and the way this track is structured is on point.  “Second Cut” and “Track With No Name” also seem to have the qualities to slay a dance floor with a little bit of a different sound in each. Whether it’s the haunting vocals in “Refused”, the abrasive bassline in “Second Cut” or the warm synths over scattered drums in “Track With No Name”  that grab your attention, just know going into this with high expectations will not leave you disappointed. DJ PHANTASY, and DEXTONE deliver an exciting techy sounding three track EP which I know I will have in rotation for a while, and have already caught myself humming out loud.

As an extra bonus this Christmas eve we have second mix to get those parties rocking! This one comes from, Colin and Jon aka, Krossbow. These guys met ten years ago through a love for the broken beat and because of that, Krossbow, was formed. The music in their mix represents the tunes they were both raving to back in the day. So as you might guess, this mix takes on ‘classic Breaks’ stance. The mix itself was recorded at the, Wilkestock festival, back in September and was to be their last festival set together as, Jon has packed up and moved to Australia. The tracklist was specifically chosen to celebrate their ten year friendship and such has been there success over the last decade, several of the artist included in the mix have found themselves supported by the mighty, Krossbow. Definitely one of those ‘full circle’ deals in full effect!

Fear not fans of, Krossbow! Even though, Jon has moved to Australia they guys still plan to keep working together which is great news all round I’m sure you will agree. The only thing that’s left to do is set your music device volume to ‘max’ and get on it guys and gals!
