It’s been a little while since we caught up with the, Phibes brothers and as such we’ve a hat-trick of tracks to bring you. ‘Rubber Band’ is the first of two free downloads and this slab of Ghetto Funk is one badass motherf*cker! More bass than is probably legal but hey, who cares because that theme carries on to the second freebie, a Drum n Bass remix of ‘Dancehall Terrorist’ by, Bluntskull. With the foundations already crumbling from the weight of the bass along comes ‘Follow Me’, a brand new single from the brothers. Huge Reggae vibes spread throughout this Drum n Bass track. Party times have taken over the ward so do what’s right and get that feeling too!

The podcast itself, which has to be said, is a real high flyer, comes ahead of two new singles from, Document One called ‘Small Steps’ which has Hip Hop flavour and a jazzfunk energy and ‘Run The Block’ which is much darker and menacing. With a number one single and album on the, Juno Disco chart already in 2016, it’s clear to see that, Dr Packer is already on a mission this year! His fine form has spilled over into this free rework we’ve picked up of his of ‘Hercules’ by, Aaron Neville. Although, Dr Packer has ramped up the tempo considerably on this one, it clearly works and is now a slice of Disco Funk that’s set to cut up a rug or two! So with the sad news that there potentially won’t be a, Breakspoll this year, it’s down to ourselves and the other dedicated blogs of the genre to make sure your boots are well and truly filled with the best broken beats we can track down.

Luckily we have one very amazing track for you now from Hungarian producer, Coarse. Although a relatively unknown name in the world of Breaks his track ‘Sceptic Love’ is one of those that could easily cement a place for himself on the Breaks map. Big energy, a rich and powerful vocal and the kind of broken beat action many fans just love to dance too. Many say Breaks is dead and for sure, there’s not as much of what Breaks heads call ‘proper Breakbeat’ around these days, but one things for sure, there are definitely a few gems like this one still popping up and that keeps us happy here on the ward.

We here at Manalogue are super stoked to premiere the latest from Milk & Sugar Recordings.

ORIANO is no stranger to the Munich-based label, having released the chart-topping, club friendly single “Pony” as well as a remix with the imprint. For his latest, “Get Down” runs out of the gate with a bouncy bassline combined with catchy, melodic, synthy chords under a simple female vocal. The result is a flirty track that could lead to some frisky dancefloor action.

The synthy chords mentioned above could easily find themselves at home on some of Bunny Tiger’s more playful releases. It came as no surprise then to see LOULOU PLAYERS providing remix support.

Watch for the release to drop on January 29.
