Master Of Bassline aka, M.O.B, is a well traveled soul. Born in Moldova, he’s lived in Syria, England, The Netherlands and now finds himself, for the time being, living in Edinburgh, Scotland. With all the moving around, his styles in music have also taken a progressive journey. From Dirty Dutch, Trap and Moombahton when in The Netherlands, to Dubstep & techno while in England, he know finds himself right in the mixer of the Bass Music scene. Like one or two others we’ve featured on the ward, M.O.B is one of these music making machines that offers both quality and quantity. His Soundcoud page is awash with free tracks from all his genre styles which is handy if you’re looking for that monster track to get your set rocking!

Such has been the rise of M.O.B’s reputation in the music world, he’s now found himself as chief scout for the Edinburgh based label, Prescribed. After what has clearly been some very fruitful scouting missions, M.O.B has compiled this free 9 track album of artists and their music that he thinks you should get to know. After a listen, it’s clear to see the choices he made were very, very good ones! If you’re looking to give your bass-face a workout, this lot will more than help you out.

Tantrum Desire- Think About You [Technique Recordings]

Sydney based, Hober Mallow struck gold recently when on the hunt for a rare 45 he could get to work on and breathe new life into. He discovered ‘You Can Dance’ by, Collision, an Australian Disco/Funk track from 1978. Stripping the original right back, he’s lessened the amount of funky guitar and vocal that featured heavily before, and has concentrated more on the groove of the track, lifting it up into the realms of Disco House. With quality reworks like this popping up from him, we can only hope he gets lucky on another search for those hidden gems that are still to be re-discovered.

If you love Disco and all things that branch off it, Hober Mallow has got what you need. You will dig the dig!

There’s no doubts, we do love to bring you music to get you up and bouncing around. We also love to bring you the odd tune for when you’re all danced out and need to put those feet up and relax and that’s exactly what we have hear from, Smartie Roc. ‘Ashley’s Private Sun’ was originally made for L.A based, Suncandy, to use on their website and now luckily for us, this funky, laid-back Midtempo gem is now free for us all to enjoy whenever we want. Spreading the funk like fire, Qdup gives the Electro Hip-Hop tune by Vinyl Life the 808 & booty breaks treatment for the dance floor. Having dropped this tune in many of his sets, it is tried and tested tail shaking material. Taking to the road with Fort Knox Five (armed with a 4 deck set up) to the B.C. Coast & rounding off the trip in L.A, this is a great month for our friend from Washington!

We just can’t keep the 90’s flavoured tunes off the ward and when they’re this good, why would we?! London based, RadioKillaz, is the latest producer we found setting to work on a classic from the 90’s, with a very classy crossover remix of ‘The Energy’ by, Astro Trax.
