Freestylers – Ruffneck (INAPT Remix)
INAPT is the new project from a couple of guys who many of you will know as regulars on the LSM ward. These guys are, Phibes, so with that in mind, you will already know that there’s plenty of bass involved. This time however the bass is being directed in the direction of House, as it’s a style they dig and have been wanting a crack at for sometime now. It’s pretty fair to say that they’ve nailed it from the off with a remix of The Freestylers‘ ‘Ruffneck’ that is pure filth! Their remix is gonna do some serious damage to many dancefloors so make sure you’ve got it to hand to get your party rockin’! There’s a few more track in the pipeline so hit the links to catch when they drop.

TELEKINESIS REVEAL THE NEW WORLD ORDER

If you didn’t know about the depth of talent in the Slovenian DnB scene, you’re sure to get a hard and fast education from this four track monster by Telekinesis on Blackout Recordings.
Individually, Smooth and Markoman have some solid pedigree, but as a duo they have found a partnership that continues to grow and develop with previous releases for State Of Mind, Bad Taste and Viper to their credit. Plenty of the scene’s glitterati have championed the boys’ work since they formed in 2009 – from DJ Hype on his KISS FM show to Crissy Criss on his BBC Radio 1 show. The New World Order EP, however, feels like a coming of age piece that is set to bring Telekinesis out of the shadows and into the technicolour glow of the big time. You know, that kind of musical craftsmanship where upon first listen you feel like “Yeah, I got these guys’ sound now and I’m totally on board!” – bobbing your head, pulling a bassface, whilst at the same time imagining the plethora of situations that could be graced with a little side of “Conspiracy”. Maybe the commute is getting you down, so you shove on “NWO” to release the endorphin-like tingle that makes the whole world seem like a better place.
However you use them, this particular collection of tracks feels like it was custom-made for Blackout. Punchy beats, rolling basslines and a dark energy that is invigorating and fearsome all at the same time. The New World Order is here, and it has Telekinesis at the helm.

LowLight – Summer Haze
I guess it goes without saying that I’m always on the look out for new names to bring you and finding them is always a great pleasure. What’s even better than that is when they find you, which is the case with New York based producer, LowLight. He followed me on Soundcloud and as he had a number of tracks next to his name, an investigation had to take place. The investigation this time turned out to be me hitting the jackpot as what I found was a honey hole of Liquid Drum n Bass, with much of it up for free download, double bonus!
From the music posted we bring you LowLight’s most recent piece of work, the dark, atmospheric roller that is ‘Summer Haze’ that will instantly have your mind skipping back to those warmer days. We’ve also added in a free 4 track EP from his back catologue because, well, why not, it’s amazing and needs to be heard, just like all of his music. Once again it’s time to turn on, tune in and cop out to an abundance of breathtaking sounds.
